I have not seen any such services offered in my area, Annette.

My opinion ... not my/broker/agent responsibility.  The buyers as the new owners have that responsibility.
Why continue to tangle the COVID-19 web?

The RIGHT CHARLOTTE REALTOR!

Seems like everybody & their brother is offering to sellers, a free, pre-listing deep-cleaning for listing with them.

And, to buyers, a free deep-cleaning after Closing, if they buy with them.

In my opinion, and you may find this strange, it's a liability. What if someone gets sick, saying they relied on my cleaning crew to clean all surfaces and they know they caught the virus in their new home, etc.?

Nada.

And my ServicePro guy would be my only company of choice, given he existed pre-Wuhan Virus. Johnny-come-lately become fly-by-nightly.

I worry about recommending one then a buyer gets sick. Have you seen all these scary advertisements for contact tracker jobs? They research your phone with all the phone companies to see all the people you were near in the past 3 weeks and knock on doors and bang on windows to make people quarantine. If you hired a disnfectant company and the buyer got sick it would be so difficult as maybe the guy with the bleach in his hands was a silent carrier?  Watch someone will come out with a bomb sprayer that can kill virus  I just looked there is one oh my oh my

BioCide Mold Bomb Fogger - kills virus

I'm having a professional that has been in the business for years clean the new homes I'm finishing before the buyers move in.  It's the right thing to do, but not using anyone new in business that I don't know.  These guys do mold remediation and clean up after flooding and water damage, so they are golden on getting rid of bad stuff.

I have only seen stuff advertised on TV showing churches being steamed so to speak. Walmart now has standard guys that are spraying carts.

I have not used or recommended anything.

The only thing I have seen is my cleaning lady texting to see if I need a cleaning...

I want to get away from all the drama...so no, I do not read those ads and  I am not offering or suggesting any particular cleaning.

I read an article about a company based in Tampa that usually cleans crime scenes and such.  Evidently, they have been busier than ever.  I'm not sure if they are doing residential house or mostly commercial.  The article written at the beginning of the pandemic, so it may have changed since then.

I'm hearing ads including duct cleaning and disinfecting, but I wouldn't recommend any of it to any buyers. If a buyer wants to do it before they move in, that's their decision.

I have not run into or heard from any decontamination companies. Yet, I have been wondering how buyers will feel about moving into a new house that the first need to thoroughly clean...not the normal clean of the past...a whole new kind of cleaning.
