Not a fan of tracking at all.  There is apparently a lawsuit over Alexa's recording issues.

We are not participationg in the use of this thermometer.

We are staying at home and are in the social distancing mode. 

I would assume that anyone who spends the bucks for a smart thermometer and connects it with their wifi would want it to report to places like this.

While we may not agree with this, it is a fact of life. And, if it means helping save lives by early alerts showing areas that are febrile, I don't mind at all.

They follow me when I use my credit card, post online, buy groceries, etc. I've long since given up that battle.
