Most of our grocery stores have an online aspect already. I'm sure many more will evaluate ways to capitalize on how to cut the costs of in-store expenses vs. online savings and efficiency.

Business is always evolving and this will jet propel more evolution. 

I don't see any trains at any stores. We have the people that pick others groceries & they pick them up at the designated areas. Wonder if that is even going on now?

I am happy & sorry that one of my clients drives for FedX & she knows how important her deliveries are.

Costco posted signs that there are no returns on TP, water or anything else they think people hoarded. Glad to see this.

Take-out or "to go" will be revamped. Apps for phones will also increase offering new methods of interactions. Innovation is being unleashed!

Opportunites are countless Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 . It will most likely cause a boost in my business as a mobile notary/closer but frankly I'm already to busy just from the low interest rates.

Many grocery stores out here have implemented self-checkout in their stores long before this.  Sure, there are still cashiers, but half the lines are self check in some stores.

Amazon has been one of the few places with supplies in stock, which is why they're hiring 100,000 new employees to keep up with the demand.

With the amount of stuff I'm seeing about community dinners over webinars and people freaking out about this social isolation, I think things will go back to normal soon after this virus is done and there may be an uptick in attendance at restaurants and bars/pubs.

Personally, I'm enjoying the isolation!

Business like life is full of changes.  

My opportunity is increasing my ability to focus on the positive things while continuing to be aware.  

Do I see business remodel opportunities?   Yes. absolutely!

I certainly hope such a remodel consists of separate quarters for shopping services.  I've grown to dislike shopping at Whole Foods because there are more shopping services people than people shopping for themselves. That is a FACT confirmed by the store manager.  

Much depends on how long it takes for the economy to recover. Delivery services, as you mentioned, have been a growing trend. Many times innovation is a result of necessity.

As the profit margin is so low in a grocer, I cannot see them enlarging a store for the Amazon model.
