I don't "feel" any way about it. I researched and found the mortality rate to be a bit higher. Currently being reported as 6% on reported "resolved" cases where people are either "well" or dead. However I also think it's likely under reported as I don't think people with milder symptoms all had the test or went to the doctor even though they could be spreading it. Also the reinfection rate reported for flu is 1.2 and corno19 is 2.7 so it spreads easier than the flu which certainly could lead to this being really bad before a vaccine is developed, tested and available.

World Health Organization, recently said that COVID-19 has a fatality rate of 3.4%. Seasonal flu has a fatality rate of less than 1% and there is an available vaccine for flu

I yield to the experts who state that is certainly worse than the flu that we see each year.

What I feel is irrelevant. The facts are that the flu is more widespread currently but that the Coronavirus is predicted to be more widespread in the future. Additionally, Coronavirus kills a higher percentage of the infected.

Un, yes. No cure, people dieing, stock markets collapsing, toilet paper shortage, major events canceled, pros playing with no fans, locker room closed to the media, no travel to certain countries, people stuck on boats...

517 died in CA this season.
61,000 died last year in 2019.
NOT from Coronavirus; from the common flu. The Flu kills every year, but where's that annual panic? See, the Coronavirus sells clicks and views online and grabs viewers on TV.
The media sells it and you buy it. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Yes. It has a far higher mortality rate than the common flu. We just haven't seen it yet because the number of infections is rather low compared to the flu. Models project between 500,000 and 3 million dead in the United States alone.
Britain is preparing for 80% infection rate and 500,000+ dead. They have plans to turn Hyde Park into a mass morgue.
Iran has bodies piled in the streets.
China has had 3 crematoriums going 24/7 since December to burn all the dead and they still can't keep up with the numbers of bodies.
You don't see that with the common flu.

I'd say worse, because there are still many unknowns. More businesses and schools were closed down today. Things will get much worse before they get better.

It is worse than the normal flu. It has a higher fatality rate at close to 4% and it's highly contagious. People with pre-existing medical conditions are more likely to die from it. In 2018/19 16.5 Million Americans had the normal flu and 34.5K people died. This means the fatality rate for regular flue is 0.209%.

Absolutly NOT!! I heard from a reliable source that we will have 0 cases any day now and one day we will wake up to a miracle and it will all be gone or at least it will be gone come spring. 15 cases to 0 cases overnight. /s
I am praying it is over hyped but what i am seeing going on around the world and the American response to it has me worried. I never panic and routinely ride out hurricanes but i am still a cautious person and don't take uncalculated risks. This looks like something to be cautious about.
I wish the cdc would publish how many were tested so we could get an idea of just how infectous this really is. Right now they only tell us how many tested positive and how many died. That is a big gap in data. Are they covering something up? Deep state and all, you know.

There are over 200 strains of flu active at anytime & they keep dividing & replicating as they want to live too. The Corona is no different. These infect & then die out or mutate. In turn we develop immunities. In effect it is an arms race but with dis-qualifiers & wild cards. Old age, weak immune systems, under-developed systems, existing issues that compound all add into it. Watch the hype! Rely on sense & intuition.

Of course it is.
But not to the extent of being a crisis. The media is clearly bored of climate change, Tweetering, war and the ex-royal couple.

I think it depends on the individual's underlying condition. Certainly appears to be more contagious.
