Fred Griffin Tallahassee Real Estate I have had great success with Brother all-in-ones in that price range. I also own two commercial Cannon copiers that I love.

For $250 you can buy a Brother color laser.

For $150 you can buy a wide format Epson Workforce.

For $50 bucks you can get a HP without a FAX.

Just go get one.

When I choose a printer my FIRST concern is availability of chip re-setters and access to firmware to override the internal counters. The rest isn't worth a moments concern. Hey, It a printer and one should never have to think about their printer.

Had an HP all in one for years, not a problem for years. Now I've had an Epson all in one that I barely use because I print everything from my office so I'm no help here. Call me cheap but I rather print there because the $92 monthly office fee which I have unlimited use of. They even let me print in color!

You can generally get all of those features except for the document feeder for well under a hundred, the document feeder will likely drive it up past 500 though.

Not much help here, Fred... I dont like the all in ones...I've used Lexmark printers for more years than I can count... they are total work horses. And Xerox scanners which are also work horses.

I've been VERY happy with my Brother brand MFC printer.  Prints, copies, scans, faxes and has a document feeder.  Next model up with a "DW" at the end of the model number can print in duplex.  Once or twice I wish I've had that.  If mine ever tanks, I'm going to replace it with a color laser from Brother so I can print my own flyers.

I never liked an all-in-one.  I've recycled several. I have a laser black and white (Brother) which is a total workhorse - not problems ever with it.

I have a color laser (Brother) purchased last year.

I have a Fujitsu Scanner.  Another workhorse that scanned thousands of docs during the short sale years.

No all-in-one produces the quality, quantity, speed, and efficiency that I need/require.

I wish you all the best with your decision and purchase.

My Brother does everything I need it to, easy to use, I think it was less than $200 and more dependable than my HP Officejet and Laser Jet. B & W print / copy is its only drawback. Three years and still works like a charm. A high capacity toner cartridge is the only upgrade.

Canon Laser.  My last one lasted for 12 years and I replaced it last year with the updated version which is now $100 cheaper than last year when I purhased it on amazon. My entire office uses it, it offers air print and is wireless.  Great quality, scans, prints copies and faxes if I need to use that.

I would only buy something that is flexible. I've had HP's & they are total workhorses. We have a giant Zerox thing now the size of a car. It does everything so I only use an HP black & white.

Haven't been checking this for years. Had 4 printers at one time, HP, Canon & Epson with no problems.

All my printers are/have been HP. They are work horses so I'd stay with that brand and just buy a new model with the features you want.

My all in one is an HP Office Jet 8600 Plus, 3-4 years old and still going strong. My color laser is probably 10 years old now and just keeps on ticking. Love the reliability of HP.

Aloha Fred,

I love my Samsung Laser Printer. It scans and copies and has a document feeder. Although, I don't usually need to print much anymore, since we are in the Electronic Documents Age, it is defintely nice to have when you need to print a lot. But, I especially love having it for convenience and for speed when I have to scan my clients documents.
