Work, work, work. If the holiday was so important, you wouldn't have scheduled an appointment in the first place. Make every day a work day to reach your goals. Remember, work before play

work IS fun.

If i am working i am working. If i take the day off, i am off. SO like today i have more than 1 appointment. A showing already canceled, but i have a listing to go get and 4 other showings. It is a Monday, it is a semi holiday as some are off and some working. When anyone else is off, they want me to work. With so many agents away at corporate retreats, i get all the buyers and sellers to myself. They dont want to wait for an agent, they want and agent now. So i work when these is work to work. 

Today, I will be visiting an upcoming, vacant, listing and preparing the agent inspection that is required. No, for those of you who are not California agents, it not like or in place of a home inspection. It is required that agents of the seller and the buyer do personal inspections to point out potential issues that may be of significance to the buyer.

I have lots of follow-up to take care of. I had an appointment for tomorrow that would have taken all morning. It has been rescheduled and now I can play catch-up on other matters.

Each day presents an Opportunity.  For all sorts of things.  

My appointment did not get cancelled BUT it was only one two hour appointment so I'm using my extra time doing both things you mentioned... fun and a project.

If it were a real Holiday I wouldn't schedule an appmt.

If it is just a govt day off then it is business as usual.

lt depends. May catch up on some work and then enjoy the rest of the day

Today we have a bit of both.  Our fun is also for our health and longevity, like a walk on the beach,  like our class in TaiChi/Qigong, like enjoying lunch outside on a gorgeous day.  We love our work, and we love fun.

It's not really a holiday if you mean today. If I had kids, I'd spend time with them.

I'm going into the office to work on a project.

It would depend on how I'm feeling that day, on what's on my plate for work that needs doing... I might even do a bit of both.

Im always working even when Im on vacation. 

Having fun is a precursor to creating all kinds of great stuff. Life is supposed to be Fun!

Today, I'm getting a listing up and running, then gonna go empty mailboxes and hit the walkie park! Then make a few food items for the remainder of the week. My next 6 days are all booked with one thing or another . . . nutrition and hydration, yo!

A holiday is a holiday and I wouldn't have booked any appointments; my clients have lives too!   Up here, today is officially "Family Day" and that is taken seriously.  I would not think to intrude upon my clients on a special day like this.

An appointment is simply a high priority task that displaces other tasks ready and willing to take it's place. 

Unless you are MS Carr, CEO of Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, who took paid days of in 2017 of 465 days and in 2016 & 2017 - 260 days each and 360 days in 2018. Unless one can expand time as Ms Carr did then we all have the same 24 hours a day. Time management does not create time. There is NO EXTRA TIME, just task management.

I plugged away at the To Do list and got SO much done!

As Bob Betel said, if the holiday was an important one, you wouldn't have scheduled the appointment.  If you're working all day, then I'm sure you can find something else to fill that window, or move your schedule around to open up more time later in the day.

No appointments made this holiday (all support services are closed), spent it with my bride by design. But, I have full work week remaining, starting tomorrow.
