Yes. I upped my meat consumption being Al Gore says that cows are the number one cause of the destruction of the ozone.

Not 'lately' but long ago:

Practically EVERYTHING in my hard files is 'front and back' the 'back' from ancient/redundant files

I have bottled water in my frig for guests, but for me 10 gallons of alkaline water in 4 large bottles I refill and use glass bottles for traveling.
EVERYTHING recyclable in my trash goes to a City facility for recycling . . .

ALSO I've used white vinegar for cleaning and also weed killing in my back yard for years . . . safer for my pup.

I'm sure hardcore enviro-nazis would take exception with my incense, essential oils, candles and smudge sticks . . . but they're not invited. LOL

The biggest change here in CT has been the Plastic Bag tax that was recently enacted. Most people bring recyclable bags with them to the store now.

A ranger once told me that trees are the most easily renewable resource so I don't really worry about my paper consumption (but try not to be wasteful either).  I continue to recycle & try to smile extra when I'm out and about so that my presence impacts the environment in a friendly fashion.  ;0

Just recycle plastic bags back to the grocery store. I can't believe how many I get in a couple of weeks.

Of course. For example 30 year old wooden fences are cannibalized to make furniture. No new trees cut.

The reality is, the process of reconditioning the weathered wood makes it less environmentally friendly, but creates a back-story/purpose that commands inordinately high returns.

No.  The earth will survive long after I'm gone and most of this "climate change"/"Global Warming" stuff is the same crap they've been trying to peddle since the dawn of the industrial revolution.  It's just an attempt to control how we live our lives and means absolutely nothing.

No.  I do use less paper but that is because I embrace technology and not environmental concerns.  I have always believed recycling is a waste of time and money and that's been proven.  I do monitor the temperature of our home but that is because it is horribly expensive.  I've never bought into the bottled water brigade:  our tap water is delicious.  I would love to be asked paper or plastic at the store but we've not seen paper bags this century up here.  Plastic bags are great pooper bags for the dogs!  I believe in cycles and this is simply one more of them.

Home is where the hearth is.

I humbly admit that I haven't really done much recently.

But I do recycle, re-use grocery bags, re-use plastic bottles many times before sending them off to the recycler.

I think much of what we do is better than what we used to do. I use dto go through a case of paper a week and now a case of paper can last 4 months. Recycling ink cartidges and high efficiency office appliaces saves electricty. Now just to get the Chinese, Russians and India on board.

Been doing this for years - paperless (I even type & store notes in the cloud). I have used green bags at the grocer for years. We are conservative with our heating and cooling; we over-insulated our home when we built it to reduce energy consumption...

It's a lifestyle that was adopted many years ago.
