Yes, approved under certain conditions (e.g. multi state licensed agents).  There must be a presence in each area (e.g. an office).  Also, no linking accounts to gain points from the 2nd account (the 10% invite points).

There are some, in MA and CA, never noticed any in FL.

Spam is not good from any accounts and wont last long.

Help me understand this... you ask a question.  Then you say you personally don't care.

Why are you asking a question that you don't care about?

I'm indifferent to the phenomenon, to be honest. I get irked when someone creates a second account to comment on their own blogs - is there a prize for points I don't know about? - but live and let live is my philosophy :)

I have no idea... why shouldn't one have multiple accounts. I am licensed in two states... I could have two accounts if I wished. Multiple accounts and spam are not necessariy related.

I have 2 accounts but they are in different areas. Turned out to be too much for me. The other is now dormant.

If you know someone is a spammer, turn them in the AR HQ & be done with it.

Why would anyone who is legitimate want more than 1? I have seen people ask and answer their own question under different names and same location. as well as add commenst to their post, so red flag. In the end it does not get them any closer to getting new clients from their false efforts on AR.

I see support has the reasoning why someone would have 2 accounts. Plus the rules.

You'd think that you aren't supposed to do that but judging from the New Members section I think it's quite common. They all have the same profile pic too, it's not even done on the DL.

it should be.  If you are licensed in multiple states, not a problem.  If you move and are no longer licensed or practicing in former state it would just make sense to change your service area and keep your points.

Yes.  I know of one here who has two distinct accounts because she is licensed in two distinct states (separated by an ocean and a couple hour plane flight).  It is approved and she does not play any point games.

you have your answer from AR member support.... there are several agents who are licensed in two states and they work in both...that requires two sites....

So...an AR member who has an AR account under one brokerage name, an AR account under another brokerage name (same broker/owner of both brokerages) and an AR account under a personal name would be in violation of the AR rules?

I had to open a second account because I forgot to write down the password years ago. Somewhere in AR lies my old blogposts buried forever. If someone has more than one account, they must not be busy if they are blogging the days away. Go figure, lol. To each their own I guess...
