PG&E won't stop doing what the company is doing.  It is a power play.  It is nothing less than a cheeky but blatant FU for the multi-billion dollar settlement for the fires.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company said in a news release Monday that the utility company has begun the restoration process after a historic deliberate power outage, but some customers who are currently without power may not have it restored before the next wave of shut-offs begins Tuesday.

This means some customers may be in the dark for five to seven days.

My mother-in-law is 93. Her power is off. She is using the wood burning  cast iron fire place/stove to warm the house and warm water for making soup, coffee and what ever she desires and can make. No need to move out but very inconvenient. If the fires were near her and she was required to evacuate, that would be a different story.

I just checked on a client who purchased a home in Pebble Beach just to get away from the fires in and near Malibu.  She made a good choice. No power outages there.

Home again, home again...

My daughter's power has been off for a couple of days.  It just came back on tonight, and is expected to turn back off again in the wee hours of tomorrow morning... as they expect the winds to pick up again overnight.

The Sky fire is less than 20 miles from her... they're anxious (and so are her parents).
