There is no valid reason, in my opinion, to invite crazy into your life.  

We live in an age where courtesy is waning. If I had the reason why people cannot call I can it and sell the answer.  It doesn't drive me crazy it really angers me. 

Yes, it’s a pet live of mine. Tell me when you are going to be there or tell me when it’s going to be done, and then do It. Processing a loan has a time to it, so don’t delay. Value your time as much as mine

This is one of the things I love about my home office. Go ahead and be late. It won't stop me from getting my stuff done.

NOW, for those who will keep us waiting at a site (and I run into fairly infrequent disrespect) = we have technology and you can let us know or be viewed dimly going forward.

All it takes is a call or text and we'll understand, to a point.

If you chronically perceive your time to be more valuable than mine, well you will find out how quickly you can be replaced!

I won't deal with those people in the future.

I get people driving up to CT from NY & they get stuck in traffic sometimes. If they call, especially if they have a good excuse like that, I don't care- it comes with the territory & I just use the time to return calls & emails.

No shows with no call is what infuriates me- that is just inconsiderant & a waste of someone's valuable time. 

Contractors...can't do without them. Have to grin and bare it.
Vendors...yeah, just show up late and you'll be meeting with yourself.

Other agents.....listen closely,,,,,the greatest form is disrespect is wasting the time of another.

If an agent is late they better own what they did (disrespect) or suffer the consequences. Those consequences are others have come to know them and schedule meet-ups to adjust for the agents tardiness....then you complain...'Why are others late?"

Funny how many create the cages in which they are confined.

I recommend my client avoid those type service providers.

i only wait 20 minutes.

after they are late once, i tell them, that i only wait 20 minutes, longer than that, they must have had an emergency and cannot make it, so i leave.

It is very irritating.   I am just a phone call away but still sometimes it happens.

Yes, it's rude.  For them I'll often adjust the starting time so their late is closer to on-time.

I am always either on time or early...

If I am meeting someone, they have to confirm with me before I leave the house to meet them, or I will not be there.

I try not to let it bother me but I know several people who are chronically late, and I've had a couple of buyesr that were that way. It was a challenge with showings - how can you just be leaving now to rive 30 minutes when you were supposed to be there 10 minutes ago? Some vendors you just expect given the kind of work they do. And with our traffic, depending on where you are going, extra time has to be part of the planning.

I never take tardiness in my stride..... I make sure I'm ALWAYS on time....

Almost everyone has a cell phone... not hard to send a short message if running late.. and if it is the exception, not the rule.. all good.. but not the other way around.. then we will need to have a nice little "talk" :)

The real emphasis is on the need for personal punctuality. If we do not like those who show up late or not at all...it is imperative that we take appointments and time commitments seriously.

It's a stuggle for me. I have been late my entire life and it is an attribute I work on daily. I have gotten much better than I used to be, but I can still fall back into my old ways. That being said, I try to have some understanding and compassion for people, but there are some that beyond help. I agree with you that a call or text can go a long way. So I try to take it in stride, and I have also learned to pad schedules a bit for these instances.

Those who are consistently late are struck off my list of preferred vendors.Everyone gets one chance... after that it's good-bye. It's very rare that anyone is late for me.

yes, continually rude people make me crazy. Why was a clock invented? It applies to everyone but you? 

Being late doesn't bother me.  I'm often late - having lived in SoCal and now the Bay area, I know what normally takes 30 minutes can take an hour 30 if the road conditions are just slightly off (a small accident, roadwork, etc).

But there's no excuse to not call and be considerate of someone else's time - let them know you're running behind so they can plan accordingly.

If they call ahead to say they are running xxx minutes late, it's not a problem. It's those who don't have the courtesy to call and say they will be late for whatever reason that drive me crazy. And it depends on how late they will be, 10-15 minutes I can live with if I know to expect the delay but beyond that I reschedule.

My refrigerator went out while on vacation, and each and every FOUR hour window was late, they never showed up until after the 4 hours were past.  Drives me CRAZY!

What bugs me is getting to the Dr appt on time and having to wait half an hour or more.

Being prompt is a must, otherwise you will lose business. Of course, life events happen that may prevent on time-every time, we are all prone to that!

It's a pretty good way for them to assure they will never be called upon again. There are plenty of prompt & accountable professionals out there. We just need to find them and keep them busy.

YES. There is no reason anyone late cant call, text or reach out they will be late. 

Oh, those little annoyances in life... How about the "non-responders"? 

Good contractors and vendors are naturally busy and do not work from a desk where they can jump up and leave for an appointment.

We have a monthly meeting/training, it starts at 10AM.  If you are five minutes late, I won't go over the first five minutes again.  Yes, be on time or miss important information

Throughout the years, I've managed to "train" everybody to be on time. Personally, I always show up 5-10 minutes early which kind of sets the tone...

If they did not show up and not call - out of my list.

Be cautious about "control" as it is an illusion. Instead learn to navigate through life and where appropriate to rise above...
