I could see 'someone' winning with that - but as a consumer I'm looking at that thinking awww she's new, ugly and hungry, I hope she gets better things soon. But 'my listing' is probably going to the one who is experienced, abundant and attractive. And positive energetically.

There needs to be a clear 'tongue in cheek' to this approach. Maybe a picture of the dog or cat!

Or oooh, yer in Flah-da ... a pic of a gator! LOLLL now that would tell me you are RAVENOUS not hungry and ready to do business!

I think you might only attract shark sellers with that message. It sounds desperate and weak so you'll attract dominant people who are going to make you their puppet. I am a much bigger fan of having confidence and an amiable personality where people want you on their side.

That postcard probably isn't going to reach the clients I'd like to work with.  I know that sounds so snobby but the marketing message has to be crafted to the audience you want.

I couldn't send that post card because the only thing that's close to being true is the "I'm kinda ugly" line - the rest of the points are far from the truth - too far. I"ve been at it for 20 years, I have a very comfortable life and I could stand to loose a few pounds, I currently have 6 active listings and 2 pending listings.

Funny but, my first deal that led to many others and ultimately, success in the business, the seller hired me BECAUSE I had no other clients! "I have you 40 hours a week - why wouldn't I want to hire you?!" 

I think the more successful we are, the cockier we become. I suggest keeping your feet on the ground - we all started somewhere and I am thankful for those people who put their trust in me when I was brand spanking new in the biz. You have your newbies do whatever you think is right, Annette. 

You may want to leave out the 'ugly' and add a few fur babies in the ad - that'll get 'em every time! 😉
