I love my Vitamix! And practically every family member is fighting over who will get my Les Paul (one of them).

Some products are tougher than others. Besides buying direct from a US manufacturer or direct from a local artisan/manufacturer I think it's easier to go on line and learn which manufacturers are still operating manufacturing facilities here in the US and simply try to by their products rather than trying to find a sourch that only sells US products. Either way it's a challenge to find a purely US made gadget/device/tool/car/appliance I actually don't even know if any exists. I have not done the research.

It's a good question. Some products are no longer made in America because American manufacturing in some industries were killed by cheaper and subsidized foreign imports. Some retailers only carry products at price points, regardless of manufacturing origin, to make themselves always look cheap (low priced).
One good approach when looking to buy American made products is to do a bit of research. So for example, since it is a current subject on AR today, I did a search for power drills made in America, and Dewalt and Milwaukee came up.
Did you know that Honda is more American that a Chevrolet? Hondas are mostly made in the USA and have more US parts than many others.

Amazon will tell you the country of origin on the product page. Local stores often times have a good amount of American Made merchandise.

They're out there. I buy some clothes supposedly made in Los Angeles CA from Buck Mason. https://www.buckmason.com/ I buy shoes, hiking boots, and work boots from Danner Boots supposedly made in Oregon, https://www.danner.com/ and I buy some work clothes at Tractor Supply made by Carhartt in US, https://www.carhartt.com/ but not all their clothes are made in US. Check the labels before buying. I buy some aloe, vitamins and health products from a company in Arizona called Forever Living Products. They even grow their own aloe plants. https://foreverliving.com/usa/en-us/home
I still use products from other countries because they are better than anything I've found in USA. The best stone expoxy comes from Germany, One of the best lime mortars comes from Germany, the best grout cleaner I've ever found come from Italy and UK, so I don't always worry about everything being made in US. Here's one more. https://www.allamericanclothing.com/

It is easy to find on clothing and shoes. Some online retailers used the word "imported" which is a dead giveaway that it is from China.. And you have several sites mentioned by the membership. Even HM put the country of origin it clothing, most made in Bangladesh and VietNam.
As far as food is concerned, we buy direct from local farmers, same with meat and fish, and we scrutinize pet food also like Candice A. Donofrio mentioned. A

Did you know there is a Usa Japan? Contrary to some consipiracy theories, the town was not renamed so Japan could mark goods made in Usa to make us think they were made in THE USA.

It's hard to find. So many that claim to be made here are only assembled here with parts coming from all over the world (most vehicles are this way).
Dog treats are real easy to find. The manufacturers made it a huge marketing feature years ago after chineese dog treats started killing dogs.
