Most of today's lock boxes keep a record of entry if that is what you wanted to know. I purchased a RING doorbell for myself and it won't work with my phone so it's of no use to me.

Yes, we have had this technology for a long time, longer than what you are selling has been around.
Though I do enjoy seeing this tecnology advance and suspect that some of the disrupters will use some of this to try to put many out of business.

They are used quite often in the Charlotte area. The sellers assign a special code for agents to use to access and they set time-restrictions (for showing times only). They are monitored with video cameras.
Some of them are set to not only unlock the door when the code is keyed-in but, they also disarm the alarm system simultaneously also.

We use electronic lockboxes on our listings. I have a Ring doorbell and we really like it and a Nest thermostat which we love as we can raise the heat or lower it even when we are out of the country.

Very sly Spam delivery Edward. Not the place to advertise.
But benefit of the doubt:
I'm using blue tooth lock box entry, key-less door knobs on many homes these days.

We do not use them so why should I worry? It is the seller that is providing or using those.
No matter what seller has I would still use the Sentrilock for all showings.

Most of the time we would use our area electronic lockboxes so access is limited to real estate and related professions that have lockbox electronic key access. Edward's Enterprises General Contractor & Property Maintenance Services

Thanks everyone for your answers/feedback (first question!). Happy to hear from so many of you, seems like most of the answers (~17) as of today use a traditional lockbox or similar device with some sort of access control or monitoring/logging, while ~3 have seen usage of video/electronic door access in their areas and ~9 had other comments/feedback. Perhaps it has to do with the areas, the prices, or the demographics of the sellers. Curious to see how this is adopted going forward!

I am not. But i have had sellers who requested it when they had them They made a code especially for me to show the home. I am not sure how easy or hard they can be hacked

These technologies are all heavily flawed, in my view. The Nest was just discovered to have a hidden camera and microphone in it. It's not a warrantless wiretap if we trick people into installing them in their homes.
Realtors have a variety of secured lockboxes that track entry into a property. No need to reinvent the wheel with less secure methods that are prone to hacking.

I'm skeptical of them, knowing they are vulnerable. I use Bluetooth Sentrilock units to allow access to my listings. They are the standard in my area.

Those are things the seller would install if they wanted them. I use electronic lockboxes to control access and get a record of everyone who accesses the property, anything more is up to the seller.
