If somebody else is making excuses, I don't want to freaking hear it. Let's just fix it. I don't care whose fault it is.

Someone elses issue -  if they refuse to own it, I will admit to losing respect but, I certainly don't continue to work toward convincing them that they are wrong. What purpose does that serve? I have more positive things to do with my time! LOL

Depends on the excuse. I've backed down and I've called them on them... especially if I think they are lying Richie Alan Naggar .

I don't really make excuses.  I make apologies.  I discovered long ago it is better to take responsibility and apologize.  Do you know it's hard to be mad at someone who accepts responsibility and vows to correct any mistakes. 

I call people out on their bullshit. Life's to short to placate people. 

I stand my ground. Excuses have no place in a solid business transaction.

Good morning, Richie... do I strike you as someone who backs down? One can not backdown with dignity, diplomacy, grace. By the same token, one does need to listen carefully... there may be excuses that are totally valid.

An excuse does not mean one is not at fault.  I focus on getting resolution to the problem and let people deal with their own stupidity.  This is not without saying that I don't CMA (cover my....) with documentation, so I am covered, should a boomerang come back at some point!

Just sort out the facts and the needs and make things happen.

The river of denial runs long and deep. People choose to be there. Most don't want or need me to pull them out.  

Business dealings - I point them to the law, the code, the contract, etc., perhaps even their broker.

It depends on the situation. If their excuses are affecting others, then yes and without hesitation. If not, it is case by case. I try to keep those kinds of people at arms length

If someone is making excuses for have no business, I prefer not to hang with them.  Rather hang with those that are more positive.
