Underwriters have molten lead in their veins, will not die of snake-bite and can lay down a barrier or hoop to be climbed or passed through and lose no sleep over it. When they approve you get the loan. Until then, scrutiny city!

The bright spot is Black Card; it's not for everyone. Maybe there is some real cash/assets behind this.

I’m not an underwriter, but have approved loans for many years. The problem with consumers is that they think the more credit cards, the higher your credit score is. No one needs this many cards, for any reason, period.

A good underwriter will look to see the potential of available credit, and might decide to decline a mortgage request based on that reason, even if they show no balances on them.  Think “Midlife crisis”.  The potential of this customer charging them to the maximum credit line would be of great concern on the repayment ability of your mortgage. As amortgage broker, I tell my customers to only have two or three cards. A Visa or MasterCard, American Express, and Discover card. That is all you ever need.

What are their balances and spending habits? I might want to see bank statements going back a while to see if they were all actively used or not.  If the balances were kept low and most cards were empty, I'd imagine a great score. If they were all in some state of constant use with minimum payments, I'd be worried.

For the record, not an underwriter but a former Loan Officer for both mortgages and auto finance.

The best agent in Alameda at your service!

I had to get rid of the inquiries on my credit account. How-to articles online didn't work. I consulted a relative who had the same problem, and they introduced me to Master Credit. I took the risk, knowing that the company has $10,000 in surety bonds. The sales rep I spoke to was very accommodating and friendly. She told me what they do and how they do it. After three weeks, all my inquiries were removed. No inquiries will affect me getting financing again. Now my credit is looking excellent and i can't thank (Patchcredit@gmail com) or visit (Patchcredit.wixsite.com/patchcredit) for your effective credit repair today. NO gimmicks. They are very effective.
