I am sure our enemies are enjoying the lack of security at the ports, airports, and law enforcment.

Fortunately, as of now, I am not.

Nothing here.  Business as usual.  Just will be a good year to owe money to the tax man, as refunds could be delayed somewhat.

Knock on wood, I have not noticed anything as of yet. My heart goes out to those that are affected as it must be frustrating that it is lasting so long.

Nothing noticeable or as significant as your clients' experience. 

The shutdown impacts all of us.  Some more directly than others. Some people are impacted because parks are closed.  Not as big of a deal compared to not receiving a paycheck.  I mention this by way of illustration only. 

May we all see better days ahead.

I hope this shutdown ends soon. 

Each week of the shutdown cuts 0.1% off the gdp. Next week we will have lost a total of 0.5% percent of the gdp. This affects all of us in a way we do not feel or see but the long term consequences could haunt us for a long time.

yes, we have three closings not happening... no one at work to sign documents (two are foreclosures) and two buyers on hold with federal jobs.

I am know a guy who is a contractor for the Coast Guard. He is not getting paid money that is due to him for work that he is done. He is struggling to meet his mortgage obligation.

It is amazing that there are so many people who do not have a "rainy day" fund.  

Christine ~ Things here in the Metro DC area a bit slower than normal, but not sure if it the shutdown or a recent cold snap.  I do have one client in the DOJ that is waiting until the shutdown is over to put their house on the market.

Qualificaion should be based on the potential to get back to work quickly.

A 250K income autonomous coder put the deposit down from Apple. Cancelled the purchase. Laid off, phd in AI..... It will take him much longer to get back to work. There are so many of these AI gurus, a crowded field.  

It has had no effect on me personally, but many are hurting except Congress which continues to be paid!
