1. I link my blog posts to linkedin, as well as other articles of interest

2. I congratulate people on work anniversaries, new positions, etc.

3. In the past 18 months have done over $1.5 million in sales from LinkedIn contacts.

It doesn't take a lot of time to do this and I'm happy for every incremental sale that comes from it for the small amount of time invested. Also it continues to build "street cred" for me with my past clients who read my posts on LinkedIn and often comment on them.

Connecting, networking and referrals.

It's as effective as the member using it is.

I have not used it for business and seldom go to the site.

I haven't though in the past I have "linked" ActiveRain posts to the site that seem to generate lots of LinkedIn interest in the form of "someone has viewed your profile" but no value to my real estate business. I didn't pursue business that way. I have read of success stories of others.  Business can be pursued in a variety of ways.  Good luck.

I post a few things about listings here and there.  It's not a social site, it's a business networking site and needs to be treated as such.

I post new listing, open houses, price adjustments, coming soon, and it's very effective for me.  I post property information and have back links to my website to increase SEO. 

One more networking tool, it pays to keep on it.

I don't use it.... the team members don't either.... they don't have time....

I use LinkedIn but have not counted on it for business.

I've NEVER had a lead through LinkedIn.

i havent really used it for much...  anniversary of people now and again.

after reading Nina Hollander  successful use I amy have to rethink it!

I have a free account & get promotional emails from Linked-in but do not use it.

Just keeping in contact with those I know there. I've had repeat clients reach out to me there but, I have no routine on LI.

 Frankly it is worthless.

We used to in the beginning...now I think its focus is on employment/head hunting. They recently asked me to do a survey to "help them serve us better."  The first question was about employment.  I said "self".  The next 4 questions wanted my opinion of various companies and what it would be like to work for them?,  I stopped answering, as I have no idea. I look at LinkedIn. I do not "use" it.

I do occasionally but I do not find it overly eefective. Facebook has been my best bang for time spent online to connect with people. 

I've been using Linkedin probably since 07. It's where I harvest my prospects and only add potential clients. And most importantly, I don't add friends and specially REALTORS
