Probably a dozen, but I haven't done residential in a decade-and-a-half so give or take.

Back in the day, FOMO buyers were terrified if they didn't see everything possible. But if your criteria is clear, you should be good to go after viewing your top three to five homes. Any more than half a dozen, and it becomes a blur. We have too much technology to not be able to rule out undesirables.

Plus, buyers should be able to drive neighborhoods without an agent before a tour and eliminate what looks good in listing photos but is actually not good up close and personal.

There are many factors involved: the buyer, timing, desired location, availability and many others. It is a question/ issue that is discussed upfront.  There has been an occasion where I have shown ten properties but that was long ago. 

I believe 12 or 14 but, they were condos located in our Uptown area - very close to one another.

It's too confusing for buyers to see more than 5 or 6 though. And, now, it's rare that more than that even fit their criteria that are available!

I cap it at 6; anything more than that turns ineffective. 

I showed 14 just yesterday and in the rain, no less (have a client who had two days to find a home). But wouldn't know if that is the highest number... don't keep track of such statistics.

I showed 7 last week in one day to one client. I will cap it out around there otherwise they get confused as to what they saw. 

Someone answered this one on FB today with 21, I am not that patient.

I found most people won't be able to remember past 4 nice homes that suit them. 

The most has been 8 homes.

It's been awhile since I have shown homes to regular buyers but I have pout over a hundred miles on my car in a day showing investors the city.

I think I showed around 10 or 12 to a client that was trying to preview homes for his wife that was out of town and trying to dwindle down to a few homes for her to see when she came in town.

19 to one customer. After that 3 became my limit with a review of what we have seen. The 19 guy was a looker. The next day he went two counties away and saw 20 more. Never again!

The distance away from the property... not just homes but acreage, mom and pop business, multi unit apartment property whatever is greater in rural areas. That's why videos save time and increase the showing while keeping the jeep parked in the yard. Can upload a video render tonight and by morning there are 300 "showings". No one has to take off their shoes with these kind of on demand open house tours round the clock. 

Just guessing but a dozen or more.

Probably 6 or 7

On a single day, I would say 8.  It pretty pointless do do anymore after that becasue they can't remember or retain information on each one.

Last week I did have a relocation buyer fly in. They had 2 days to find a home. Lucky number 7 was the one and the wanted to make an offer on the spot. 

Eight. During the bust, more houses were vacant and more could be shown.

The first outing comes with a 30 minute "look" limit. After all, the house isn't being inspected, but evaluated and there are others waiting expecting us to be on time. We will be there Tuesday between 8 and 12 or 1 and 5. Image that, real estate agents being on time.

Three is my limit

15, but it was a Downtown San Diego luxury condo tour with 2-3 units per high-rise. So we were commuting more on elevators than in the car. The buyer was from out of town too, so time together was limited.

Locals: no more than 6 per day, per client.

I think it was 10.

I try to limit it to 5, if possible.

2 years ago I showed 17 homes to a client that was here only for 2 days. They ended up buying one of those homes.

One of the top agents in our brokerage will only show 3 a day; any more than that you cannot remember the differences between them and they all blur together.  However, I have heard stories of people showing over 10 a day. 

I lost count, but the buyers were only in town for 2 days and had to buy during that trip.  It was a very productive 2 days.

I've shown atleast 10 in a day.

Six new home communities- probably 15 homes total. They were one day only trip from out of town to select one of those. Fortunately it worked for them

15 or so, the longest one client appointment was 10 am to 10 pm, but it ended with a house for her in one day.

I only showed homes for the first 6 months of my 40 year career.... 3 or 4 and done.... pick one.... then I just focused on listings....

William ~ 13 to a military couple coming in from Okinawa.  I made them take notes just so that they wouldn't all blend into one big mess.  They still live in the home that they picked out of the group 11 years ago.

Around 10 - Relo Client

I've shown 15ish homes to buyers from out of town a few times - 2 or 3 homes in each 6 or 7 towns in the county I work.  The typical tour is about 4 to 6 homes.

Although a rarity at or near 17 sounds right. I did not let them out of my sight and earned a decent six figure commission. 

Do not know the exact number. If they are located in same building we can show many.

No more than 7.

It was a lot ... upwards of 20 but many were concentrated in the same area. 

It varies - 5-10  is common depending on whether it's condos, townhouses, or single family detached.

27, years ago.  Had a relo buyer that had a few days in town, and all were very close in the same area.  Contracted and did the inspection before they left town.

In commercial, the max I have shown is 3 a day.  Those who came from out of town, stayed for 3 days.  In residential I have a client who showed 92 homes (swears she will not do that ever again) and she did sell those folks a house...they sent her many referrals.  A
