It depends on the situation. There are many kinds of agency representation so you would need to be more specific with the question. There is a brochure that explains it all in detail and you should become familiar with it and give one to each client or prospective client.

Just talk using the lexicon with which they are familiar and they will find it easier to trust the agent.

Be aware, industry distortions of the language is an attempt to separate the 'professional' from the common man. However, Einstein is credited with saying if one can not explain something simply, the speaker may not be the master of the subject.
