I hired licensed assistants who will also help me show on over-flow days and when I'm on vacation. Two of them have been with me over 10 years. When (& if) I retire, they will be able to take over for me.
It's been working beautifully for me for years!

A salaried agent? It sounds like an employee. Is that what you want?

I never did find the right people to build my team Peter Mohylsky with the exception of that I had a GREAT secretary. As far as finding agents willing to work as hard as me there were none to be found in my market.

"Let's team up & have twice the selling power". The big benefit of a team is that each member can bring their own talent set & you have a backup.
I'd have to be labodomized to get me to agree to pay any other agent a salary to team up.

Personally, I've not seen much success with this. I decided a long time not to share based on what I'd seen around me.

I've failed miserably at that. I'm challenged to find people who are okay with working for a paycheck and to focus on serving clients ... not their self.

The other person must have a stellar reputation, share in the same motivation and business model and standards. Only if you have a licensed assistant, would you consider paying a salary.

tough question to answer.... too many variables and you're the one who needs to have a game plan based on a goal to attain.... what's the purpose? your business is worth as much as the quality of the branding of your name.... if your goal is to sell your business....what's the worth? if your goal is to refer leads, you could have a formal team of two seasoned agents who are well versed with listing and market your name for them...it's still YOUR NAME.... I could write forever, but I'll have mercy on you...

The parameters differ based on whether you are looking to a partner to open an office or an equal member to aid in 'multipling' results.
But I would start with contacting brokers and agents who impressed you during previous business encounters.
OR, consider a new business model in collaboration with a lender.

I always have several realtors following me around. When I am away they take over my role. We provide leads to each other constantly.
The one way street realtor happens often also. They can be the lonest person ... Some are mouthy and think they are hot...
