Can't you do that through a company called Free Credit Report? And I believe that the big credit companies provide one report for free each year.

My Fico is a great place for consumers to get their credit report and credit scores.

If they want one time access, click on "Products" and on the right go to "one time purchase".

The option with all three bureaus is pricey but will give a good overview since not all creditors report to all three bureaus.

The option with one bureau is cheaper and lets you choose which bureau you want the report from so may work for what you describe.

When I was an LO then mortgage broker I often recommended the site to folks who needed to work on their credit. Since these are "consumer scores", there is no hit to credit for pulling a report. And when I want to check my personal credit,  I use the one-time three bureau option on this site.  

All that being said, when I handle rentals for owners, I pull a background check and credit check which are included in the application fee. Your brokerage may have access to similar and if you are doing rental placements or property management, I highly recommend it.

There are online sites where the customer pays for the report and it goes to the landlord but the owners I work with want the background check as well.

www.annualcreditreport.com  . The Vantage score is what a consumer gets if they purchase a credit report from one of the 3 reporting agencies. The FICO is what most lenders use for mortgage applicaions. www.myfico.com It's best to purchase report from the agency where you spent most of your adult live. On east coast, buy reports from Equifax. If a housing counselor is needed, check hud.gov website. Most are usually free.

I've had clients use Credit Kharma for a free credit report.

Ask a favor from a Realtor friend who does  rentals. They already pay the fee for access and use it regularly! Good luck!

All banks now offer free fico score for customers.

p.s. i personally run my applicants via my MLS credit report service since they check evictions, criminal records, etc.  and it is around 20$ for a person.

Several online rental apps where you can have the applicant pay for the credit report and have it sent to you.  Renttec, turbotenant, zillow, ??

You can also go to your bank where you stash all your millions, and ask them to pull a credit report on you. Usually for free.

There are a plethora of one and done services, including FREE from the Big 3 annually.

Places like Credit Karma and other online "free" services that banks (credit card companies offer) are not accurate. I take a peek at the online once a month. I recently had my credit pull (for real to be approved for financing) and my score directly from the credit bureau was 26 points higher.  
We are entitled to one free report annually.  You can get it here.

Check with your local board.  You may be able to order a credit report and a back ground check on an as needed basis.

All freebies have that feature.... Not FICO score.

The landlords I know of pull the credit on their applicants, so it isn't something the tenant/applicants need to supply.

Credit Karma is Free.
