No... it was a good solid year, like the one before, like the one I'm anticipating in 2019. I'm past the point of aiming for blockbuster years at this point in my life. Then again, what does blockbuster mean? It can mean different things to different people. I can think of quite a few agents who would consider themselves having a banner year with half my volume.

To be honest? No, it was not. Too many distractions, too many people who didn't do what they promised, not enough in the pipeline, people who died, too many family issues, blah blah blah. But.... next year will be GREAT! I KNOW IT!

We were doing a lease for Blockbuster in a center that supported an individual who was in a mental institution.  Even though Blockbuster wanted at 20 year lease, we advised our client to do a five year lease.  We had a feeling this concept was going the way of the do do bird.  It meant a much much smaller commission for us...

This leads me to answer your question, every year is a wonderful year, because our aim to become better people than the year before is achieved...Life for us is not about amassing more wealth...A

Along the lines of what Michael Jacobs said, has Hollywood even had a true "blockbuster" release this year?

 

Besides, isn't block busting one of those techniques they teach you to avoid in school.  You know "The Russians are coming!  The Russians are coming!  All people to get from street!"   (that's a great movie.  I just finished watching "The Americans" too, another great series about Russian spies embedded in America in the 80s).
