One of the best true books ever written was the Mutiny on the Bounty trilogy where 1000's of unknowns where made known making one wonder what they would have done...Good pondering book of adventure & discoveries

No particular book but life presents multiple opportunities to see, listen and experience.  Questions develop from these(and more)  on a daily basis. And fortunately it is neverending. 

"Leading with Questions" - Michael Marquardt and "Power Questions" - Sobel/Panas

I would have to say none, don't know of any books on that topic but asking the right question at the right time is a combination of active listening and experience.

  Either Dale Carnegie, or the Bible.

You must be referring to a good book on OBSERVATION. Any of those 'take your business to the next level by closing every appointment' will have those points.

However, for me, the right question is completely dependent on my intent. If it all about me, the RIGHT question will never be asked, even though my business may thrive.

If it is NOT ALL ABOUT ME,  I am compelled to observe.

For nearly every situation, citizens are very poor at keeping their lives private. If one wants to the the flag in the memorial box or the urn on the mantle they are easy to be seen.

You can listen to hear evidence of internal confidence or that feeling of insecurity.  You can direct your own or reflect on their vulnerability with care and compassion.

If one is willing they can observe the cadence of speech, the syllable count in words and whether they lead to light or darkness.

And when ones heart is right, what is not being said is clear.

Whether it Maggie Scarff, Joe Sumph or Lisa Sasevich each has their method of creating within us the desire to create thresholds for transformation in others. And if you think that is NOT what others want, then I need to ask, "Who is this all about?"

When you hear, "You are not like the other agents" what do you think just happened?

No book.  I just use my brain and natural ability to communicate.
