I would NEVER, EVER use a service for a birthday.  I would use one to deliver a gift...That is in my opinion, and actually I should say my very humble opinion, a disconnect from  a relationship...or how to lose clients using artificial intelligence!  A

I hand-write any cards I send.

I send birthday cards to my old clients. Hand addressed and with a personal note that I write on every card.

Every client for whom I have a birthday and a wedding anniversary date receives a card that is handwritten and addressed by me and sent out about 4 days prior to their birthday or anniversary. No service... that defeats the purpose of making it personal. If I'm friends with them on Facebook and/or LinkedIn, I send a second message on the day of.

Absolutely! A hand-written card for birthdays, anniversarys, houseaverseries and holidays. No service - EVER!

I try to call but always send birthday cards. And I send un-birthday cards to others whose birthdays I don't know - then sometimes they let me know!

I'm with Ron and Alexandra Seigel on not using a service to send birthday wishes..deliver a gift yes but  in my opinion if you can't find the time to send a birthday message personally than don't send one at all.

No.  Don't even know their birthdays.  No reason to.

I never mention or comment on birthdays here, or on facebook, or anywhere else. Same applies to religion and politics. No, I have never sent anyone a birthday card or greeting of any kind.

I send a birthday card with a hand-written personal note. The envelope is hand-addressed.  Nothing says I don't give 2 sh$ts about you like a sterile card from a service provider.  I do receive those cards ... I am not impressed.
