    I remember Dave Peverett of Foghat singing, "I'm gonna rock 'til I drop!"

    And he did. He was still touring, even when he had been given a short time to live and was undergoing chemo and radiation treatments.  His final concert was just two months prior to his passing.

     RIP Lonesome Dave.

I haven't heard that statement, and honestly, that is such a depressing thought, that they might not have any more music in them. I think musicians are born with the love of music and they have that until they die. That's my thought and I'm sticking with it.

But as a musician I can also share, there's no comparison to the joy of performing vs. selling; music wins! I love playing music, I enjoy real estate.

Have not heard that but several thoughts come to mind about this, you know, when I ponder..:

1.  The band as a unit was better than the solo artist and no one bought their albums

2.  Illness crept in and they couldn't play anymore.

3.  Clint Eastwood is past 90 I think and just probably made his last movie.  People still like him.

4. McCartney just came out with a single.  Amazing.  At 71 I think.

5. The Who are touring again.  One of the original cast is over 70.

6.  Eric Clapton can't play guitar quite like in Cream but has managed to string a long list of singles since that time.

7.  If you have the muse, you can't luse it...

8.  Some pros get reticent with the music industry, throw up their hands, and refuse to do anymore.

10.  Doug Ingle from Iron Butterfly is living in a trailer somewhere in northern California.
