           Our anniversary is December 22.   Lunch will be at 11:00 at Little Paris (for my wife; she loves their Vol Au Vent).   Dinner will be 6:00PM at Dao (for me, sashimi).  Plus, we have ordered a White Forest Cake from Au Peche Mignon.

Our 41st anniversary was on December 9th but my husband was too sick to go out and celebrate so we plan to go out to a good restaurant for dinner over the holidays but that won't be until after Christmas Day.

Our favorite event is the annual boat parade (which happened to be on our anniversary this year). It goes down all the canals here and we have a great view from our dock. It's quite a sight to see!

Our typical menu is a shrimp platter (fresh from Port Canaveral a few miles from here) with assorted cheeses, crackers and other light snack items. A good bottle of wine and some Christmas cookies complete our Christmas Eve dinner. Christmas Day is usually sea scallops (also fresh from Port Canaveral), more shrimp and various fresh veggies...favorites are zucchini, green beans, glazed carrots and maybe a side of angel hair pasta. We like Key lime pie and pumpkin pie for dessert, again all served with good wine.

I love spending time with family. This week, my son (Ryan) who moved to Chicago during the summer, will be coming home to spend the week and I couldn't be more excited!

As for the food - I love to cook and have been so slammed with work & parties that I haven't had time to set the menus. I will get that done this weekend (with a little input, I'm sure, from my hubby & boys)! Favorite foods have to be the traditional turkey, baked oysters and anything cranberries.

Just beginning to create the menu now that I've secured a fresh Goose for Christmas Day.  We have a huge buffet on Christmas Eve, always Eggs Benedict for Christmas Breakfast, large Christmas Day Feast and then, for Boxing Day, my nephew is shooting us a Wild Turkey.  I'm more concerned about the menu for my husband's birthday on the 28th (so easy for him to have been forgotten in the past!)
