We have a couple of neighborhoods where you can legally drive golf carts on the street. Not just golf course neighborhoods, but some of the beach communities to our south.

I would think those would be fairly popular in South Florida. My grandparents lived in a whole community like that. And, as a kid I loved driving those around to the club house. There were many similar ones in the area. I guess they were more often wealthy retirement communities. There were many.

Golf carts are usually stored at the club.
Much depends upon the community circumstances.

Yep, we see it often here in our retirement communities. Sun City, AZ has special parking spots for golf carts at all the stores and restaurants.

I'm in the process of selling one now - this buyer is an avid golfer and with a 3-car garage, there's plenty of room for their new golf cart!
