Really does not matter. Rtaes have been artificially low for years. Remember the days when real estate was booming and banks paid 5 plus percent for deposits! Everyone was making money including savers!

I will take the step to actually make a 2 predictions, I think it may hit above 5% this spring then soon fall back to below 5 when mortgage starts stall. If the economy continues to grow the Fed might get in all the rate hikes before we hit the 2020 election cycle.Ā  I'll say the discount rate and Fed funds rate will be up by 50 basis points by this time next year.

My Magic 8 ball is inĀ for repairs so I consulted my Ouija Board and it said they will either go up, down or remain the same.
