Just read that.  Been a LOOONG time since I've stayed at a Marriott and even then it was on the company card for my prior employer.  So no worries there.  That stuff all goes to a company I haven't been at in 4 or 9 years (depending on which company).  Used all their email and phone info so I didn't get spammed on my personal info.  LOL!  Pure genius!

We have been Starwood members since their inception.  And they do not have any current info on us.  No credit card either.  We are no longer registering with merchants online just to avoid this including airlines and frequent places from where we order.  A

The worst part of 'these things' is the time lag between when it (is thought to have) happened and then how long it takes for 'them' to inform the public...

i try to change passwords and/ or user-names once or twice a year. So far the hassle of doing so has been effective.

It goes back for stays out to 4 years ago as well. Reading into it they said it was reservations from Starwood whcih is a Sheraton owned by Marriot. I dont think any site, store place is safe these days and we will forever have to monitor all our accounts
