 I skipped the dessert bar at the buffet.  Pecan pie, key lime pie, torts, chocolate cake all looked very tempting.  I am glad I passed on it... I feel good this morning.

LOVE fried turkey and have been cooking my turkeys like that for years, Richie! I think I'm on my 3rd fryer - I wear them out! LOL 

Most people think that fried turkey is more fattening but, unless you induldge in the skin, it's not! The hot oil seals in the natural juices when it's dropped into the fryer and makes the turkey so much more tender and juicy. 

As for the repentance, I'll get plenty of extra walking in today to make up for the added calories yesterday!

John smoked our turkey and we had mashed potatoes, corn, lima beans, stuffung and dried cranberries. It wasn't too over the top but we ate alot. No desserts. I forgot to order the pie from a middle school girl we know who is making pies to raise funds to go to Europe with her school. That part was my job and I failed. But we lived. :-)

I'd be lying if I said I didn't love BBQ meats & I have always wanted to try a fried turkey! It sounds very good!!

At the Testa's Thanksgiving was very tasty & traditional- my Mom cooked Turkey, Stuffing, Potatoes, Vegetable & Cranberry Sauce. The Appetizers & Italian food are always a big hit too.

It was Un Turkey day for us.  We usually travel to Colorado to be with family.  This year everyone's schedule differed.  We were happy that we did not have to get on a plane again. We stayed home and grilled lobster and steak...No trimmings, no pies...no left overs.  No need to repent, we will go for a long walk on the beach this afternoon, because it is so lovely out.  A

We prefer our turkey smoked or roasted.can't fry since we are in a condo.  Yesterday was smoked turkey with all the tradtional side dishes plus some others but I stayed with small portions and skipped dessert. Today I was glad I did not overeat.

Cooked dinner in my new oven and it was done an hour earlier than anticipated....thankfully guests were coming an hour early, so we went right to the table!  Didn't overeat, so sent guests home with leftovers, as well as having a stocked fridge!
