Battle of Argonne Forest, World War I.
Today, the re-writers of history and the PC'ers, along with Google and Bing search, are trying to dismiss Henry Gunther. They portray him as a fool, or as insubordinate. But the marker on his grave speaks the truth, 100 years later:
"Highly Decorated for Exceptional Bravery and Heroic Action that Resulted in His Death One Minute Before the Armistice."

Well you made me read about him Peter Mohylsky and I'm wondering why he was honored. Sounds like he had a death wish and the Germans had no choice but to shoot him even though they didn't want to.

What was sad was there were approximately 10,000 soldiers that died after the Armistice was signed because they didn't get the word on time. I'm told their time of death was recorded as 10:59 a.m. 11 November instead of the time they died in battle,

A sad story, no doubt... but war time situations generate these.
