I used to call past clients as as many years as it had been since they bought up to quarterly Will Hamm . ie if they bought last year once , if they bought 2 years ago twice, etc, etc.

I always see clients around Christmas time, but only the ones that closed in that year (I bring cookies). For everyone else, I try to stay in touch, but I don't do it enough. For some we've become friends and I see them relatively frequently. Others I call or text from time to time. Others I send emails/information to. I have to get better at staying in touch more regularly.

By the way, I have yet to receive a call from my accountant, dentist, optometrist, or any other doctor or service provider. 

The ONE and ONLY time I did get that call it was not good news.

I like to keep up with them. I think though that this is more out of keeping in touch as opposed to simply seeing them as a contact marketing strategy ploy.

I'm not knocking marketing or the desire to keep a good future pipeline. I just like staying in touch for friendship more than commerce.
