No. It did when my son was young and still lived at home.
Yes. A fair amount of kids knocking for candy.
It depends. It all boils down to if I actually buy candy. Some years I do and some years I don't. I have not made that decision yet this year.

We do decorate and we love handing out candy to the kiddos!
Can't wait for grandchildren to dress them up for trick-or-treating!

Yes... I do some decorating for Halloween, but it's tasteful and not over the top. I also have some decorating inside my home: Halloween mugs, throw pillows, a few Halloween cat figurines.
Yes, my community is huge on trick or treating and I absolutely open the door and give out candy.
As soon as Halloween is over, my Thanksgiving decorations will come out. I try to "acknowledge" all the big holidays.

We used to love Halloween when our kids were small. We always decorated the yard and of course trick or treated the whole neighborhood. But where we live now, we seldom get anyone coming to our house. But, I buy candy just in case. If no one comes, I eat it.

We put out pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. We live out in the country with only a few neighbors so no regular trick-or-treaters. Last year the neighbor kids came by after they saw us coming home and we gave them candy out of our own kids' buckets because we didn't have any to give away. -Kasey

When the kids were home, Halloween was HUGE at our house. Now, not as much, although we still decorate. We are on a small side street, so not too many trick-or-treaters, but we are always prepared and happy to open the door for them.

Decorations will be limited at my house this year due to time constraints.
We are "that" house that hands out the full sized candy bars and that tradition will continue. We have car loads of kids from more rural areas that drive in to our neighborhood to trick-or-treat.

I decorate, however end up eating the candy that no one comes by to get... houses are too far apart... everyone goes to the neighborhoods (in car loads) where the houses are all grouped together.

No. We always buy a bag or two of candy just in case someone shows up, but no one does. Our neighborhood is not conducive to trick or treating - no sidewalks, dark roads, long driveways.

Our trick or treat used to be on family friendly Sunday before Halloween from 1 to 4pm, before it gets dark. They have moved it to Halloween 5-8pm which was celebrated by older kids but many younger kids are now kept home as our visits went from 100 kids to about 40 last year.

Peter, I decorate for fall but not Halloween. We have very few trick or treaters if any so I no longer buy candy because we end up eating it ourselves.

We are THEE Halloween house in our town! We go all out with out decor and amp it up a little more each year; kids remember and share stories with us about how scared they were the previous year. We make up 150 goodie bags filled with chips, chocolate, candies and a soft drink. When they're gone, the lights go out!

We purchased some decorative leaf bags Peter Testa and we have some decorations that came over with the Mayflower (almost) that we put up. On occasion we get Trick or Treaters but it's usually I who eats the candy.

We used to do it when kids were still here and in the neighborhood. But now no kids come anymore (other than little ones about 4 or 5). We live in a hilly area so it's not easy to get around and not safe for kiddos on their own. It did used to be a BLAST!!! Friends would come over and we'd all dress up and do crazy stuff to front porch. Fun! Fun! Fun!

We have a lot of trick or treaters but no, I don't have the time to put things up and down. I have bought candies and will pass them.

Yes, my wife decorates. We live in a hi-rise so I am not sure why. But she likes to decorate and life goes on!
