In Maine, Maine Listings is a feed without the 3rd party idx. We use iproperty for our primary site and wiring in another idx under study for a sister real estate platform. Our Maine MLS is shifting from Matrix to Flexmls next month... anyone have experience with that kind of change over to share that is good, bad or even ugly?

Awhile ago I was contracted to analyze real estate data in 6 local counties. The MLS was selling a service using RETs server asking about $350/month (1 user, research only fee) to stream all data uploaded by 100,000 realtors.  It was more than I can afford so I went around talked to their IT to allow me to pull data as far back as the system db started. I was able to pull 500 records at a time not good to support a larger audience. My data is 15 minutes later than RETs.  Z, Trula, Rdfn subscribe to RETs but they pay a much higher service fee than a few $100 bucks.....

I use RETS to pull and fill in data in zipforms. It's a free service from the local MLS to subscribers. I am not sure about my website, I think  the vendor uses IDX.

IDX here (iHomefinder) but a direct RETS feed is probably the solution to having the information directly on our sites as opposed to looking like it is (from one of your posts last week). I suspect that is the point of your study.   ;-)
