We found dead cat remains during an inspection of a vacant house once. I've also found squatters...in a $2+M dollar vacant home!

A homeless person having taken residence in an empty building that we had a listing on.  Luckily he was out, and he had a Christmas tree and a hot plate. Luckily my client was a pro athlete, and the building owner was next door.

I have in fact found a dead woman.  She had been dead for at least a week.  It was before I had a cell phone and I had to go to the neighbor to call the sheriff.  I actually became good friends with her daughter in law because of how I handled it.  We eventually sold that house and 20 years later Karen (the DIL) and I are still friends.
