Just got off the phone with my sister who lives in Little River (Myrtle Beach) South Carolina.   Power is out.  Winds were 45 to 50 miles per hour, now subsiding.  Lots of rain.   She and Mom are playing board games by oil lamp light.

Watching news. Heart with S and N Carolina. 

It's not affecting Atlanta, Georgia. 

We've not heard anything negative from our friends this affects as of yet; hopefully it's not as bad as predicted.

A little rain, a lot of wind but, we haven't felt the brunt of it yet. Flo was downgraded to a 1 so, she's moving REALLY slowly across the states and therefore, dumping more water as she goes. 

There have been several reports of downed trees and that was even before the rain began this evening. We're hunkered down and praying for the best - for everyone in NC, SC & VA.

We are in Miami area.

my eyes are glued to the updates of the areas hit by Florence.... the saddest in my opinion is the number of pets left during evacuations....before the storm hit... chained to trees ....there's no hope for those pets unless THEY ARE RESCUED....that's sooo sad... cruel...the owners should be charged with a criminal violation....

Nothing in Tennessee yet but the rain is expected to begin Sunday and Monday. 

The lakes are prepared by letting out a lot of water all this week.  All gates are open wide.  Rain and flooding is expected.

Just some rain in Maryland.

Other side of the coast from me, but I do have a friend with the fire department that's been deployed there.  Hoping my Active Rainer friends are all ok.

I've been glued to the TV. I typically do not watch the news. The devastation is more than I can wrap my head around.  I am concerned for friends in the area. I live in California, and I am in no danger other than the typical CA earthquakes. 

In Connecticut, we are going to get the Florence rains next week. Hope everyone safe.

I heard about the tree falling on that mother and her infant child and hurt hearing about it. So sad.

No florence is not in my area

I pray daily for all the people in the area, including the homeless people who have really tough time!

I hope all are friends are okay with their area.

Right now waiting for the rain to hit Charlotte big time for the next 24-36 hours. We are expecting as much as 10 inches and I am ready for power outages as a result due to flooding and downed trees in areas not far from me.
