I do know a few people that sold their home and are traveling for a few years doing air BNB instead of buying another place.  

It may be having more of an impact on the hotel industry, than housing as a whole

Prices for condos in Florida you can use Airbnb are much higher. 

 I am leaning with Kasey & John Boles, with "in what way", but I do not think it is affecting our market much. I feel the large residential REITs are having a far larger impact on the market than an online rental site. I know my neighbors do not care to have one of the homes in the 'hood AirBNBing out a room all the time. The cars on the road are irritating and not a welcome nuisance.

Most investors think their homes can be used a hotel. There are restiction and limitation about that assumption. Some can not be rented for short term and people are abusing it.

It is affecting some vacation markets and densely urban markets. It is not affecting my market yet.

The impact seems to be more on the local community with noise and traffic in certain areas. and it's causing more HOAs to crack down on rental practices that are permitted.

Not in our market. It may affect some hotels, but in most resort areas, the small hotels are already being bought up, torn down for mega expensive condos. Regular families still need a place to stay

I think it's affecting the hotel market.

More the hotel industry, than anything else.  People are going to buy second homes for rentals regardless of if it's AirBnB or long term rentals.

We are seeing more and more restrictions being put on developments by the HOAs.

I don't see it affecting the housing market on the buying side. I can see it start to affect renters.

Its good tool for Investors to make more money on their rental.
