no, we do not use any of that.... we don't live in that type of area where nutties call us to see properties....we meet at the office.... we take separate vehicles.... most females go with a partner....

There are quite a few apps,, however they are an AFTER the fact option..
Take classes on  how to AVOID getting into situations and go with your gut,, Have an accountability partner for ALL showings, meetings etc,,
EVEN listing appointments,,,

These are great tips that I am not currently using, but am going to start! Thanks for sharing!  I usually let my husband know and I'll take a picture of the car or the person with the license plate if I do not feel safe. At open houses I usually make sure I have a way out of the house, besides the front door - just in case.

I'm very fortunate to live and conduct my business in the best parts of town, so I don't really worry about it. I've never had an issue or been in dangerous situation.

I have been in a lot of funny or weird situations, but that's another blog or story - quite a few.

But common sense I practice. If my spidey sense tells me it's not right, they I act accordingly.

While I don't have any of those apps, nor do I plan to falsely think an app will help me be safe, my office has some proticals in place we follow.  First there is NEVER meting a random strange buyer at a house, second we vet on line leads, third we check in and 4th... there is an app we use that allows me to see where my agents are when showing.  If I deem them taking too long... I text to check up on them.

Our Sentrilock has a safety feature. I also use a location tracker on my phone and let people know where i am going and with whom.

Thank you so much Donald Urschalitz - yes, this is helpful.  I don't actually use any Safety Apps, though think they are very useful and would be a huge help to agents today.  I do most 'meeting of new clients' along with Roger since we are a Team.  Anyone or everyone else that I work with, I have already met and we have a business relationship with.  I'm a cautious soul, and do agree that we all need to be proactive when it comes to safety!
