I don't... no need. I don't do open houses. But I always do have WD40 and a tape measure in my car, as well as a roll of paper towels.

Open houses are not my thing but my toolbox has pretty much anything you could imagine. It resides in the wheel well of my truck and swings out. I freaking love my toolbox!

How about booties?  A sign asking for attendees to take off their shoes or use the booties? Open house signs. A sign up sheet for attendeess to give you their contact information. A hot spot so you can look up listings for your attendees at the home plus, of course, your lap top. A home book on the property. 

I have a box of many things in my car ... I do not consider it an open house box.  

I do not. But I have not been doing houses lately.

I'll have to look, but off the top of my head, my bag includes: sign riders, zip ties, a multi-tool, paper towels, window cleaner, Clorox wipes, trash bags, doggie poop bags, toilet paper, tape measure and eucalyptus house spray.

Note pad or paper to capture visitors information.  

I don't do open houses but since I am almost aloways showing empty new homes I do have a complete bathroom kit.

No I avoid Open Houses based on the fact that they seldom result it a SALE at least for the home seller the surveys year after year by the NAR show only 1-3% of homes sell from an Open House so there are better ways to market a house.

I don't do open houses myself, but I do keep stuff in a bag - camera, extra batteries, jumper cables, ratchet straps and bungee cords, Pepcid and Ibupropen

Throw in a scent candle, bottled water, vise grips or channel locks, a small tool kit, duct tape and business cards...add as things present themselves

Love how you are prepared for everything.  In commercial real estate our open houses were catered, we just hat to show up, be gracious and answer questions.  A

I do not keep an Open House box or bag Lise Howe.  I do keep in my vehicle a broom, Windex and paper towels, and a small vac.  The only item that I would have that you mentioned was a tape measure. 

Lisa, I have a box with items I usually need when showing listings - mine or somebody else's - a measuring tape, a flashlight, paper towels, scissors, and plastic cable ties (I attach riders with them to the signs).

The open house items I put in the car on the day of the open house. 

Have not done an open house in many years; however, good idea to have a kit like you have put together.

Neither, I make them up as I do open houese and then when done take out of my car. I only keep buyers and listing packages in the car case I run into someone on the street looking to buy or sell.

No, I prefer to be fully prepared when holding open house activities with lots of signage, etc.

Add Zip Ties, we just needed those. I also have a simple tool kit I keep in the car for unexpected issues. 

Open house bag? no.  A real estate bag yes.  Hammer, nails, block of wood for driving signs down.  My wife's is more extensive because she shows property.

Something to wash your hands with, water, band aids, change of shoes.

I don't like to do this because it all gets melted over the summer.

My box (for real estate in general) also includes hand sanitizer, shoe covers, disposable gloves and face masks.  I also carry a few water bottles.

I also have a "break down kit" that includes a lantern, pillow and blanket.

I keep some shoe covers and a few folding chairs handy.

I did that for new construction, once the plumbing was connected....

A printed map of SFBA. Not all areas have GPS.

Promotional materials. Tool bag, plumbing repairs, emergency repair, lock boxes(bike chain). Riders, Rags. Many women carries a mace or teaser. Man-gun.  I don't carry a weapon.

Lise, not really for open houses, but we do have a couple of containers with a variety of lockboxes, measuring tapes, and large hammer and spike for pounding in yard signs.

I don't like to hold open houses but I do have signs and sign in forms readily available.

I keep my basket in a cabinet in the garage. I have disposible cups, plates, utensils and napkins, serving dishes/platters & serving utensils, directional signs, my bucket for waters (that I pack with ice at the house and it reminds me to grab the ice and the water out of the garage fridge!), my most current magazines and a business card holder.

The other items you mentioned travel with me normally!

I have a laser measure but it never appears for an open house. TO pull it out means they are MY CLIENT.

Knock down wasp spray. I hand that to Sasquatch to administer.

Signs Signs and more signs. I use signs printer on Polyester fabric. Very lightweight and compact. I can fit 20 signs in the glove box. I wonder why the still call it a glove box? Has ANYONE put a glove in there?

Now, no open house is worth doing without a PURPOSE. So the OH box will need to have the props to support the purpose.

Hydration. Since I'm a smart cookie and don't do time wasting open houses it means I need a team to make the purpose a reality. So, the OH box must contain rewards for the team. Sasquatch gets grumpy when he's thirsty or hungry.

Those who did not self-select during the walk through need to receive the special invitation. That way everyone gets the personal touch.
