I've attended a couple of them and found useful information in the break-out sessions as well as the roundtable discussions at the end. The main stage offered some inspiring speakers too.

I have to say though, none of what I learned there has been implemented into my business - I still do what my webmaster says I need to do for my internet business and I still focus on my sphere.

I learn more from fellow agents who are boots-on-the-ground agents - who actually sell and don't lecture. 

I do not know.  I've managed to be successful in real estate and I have never attended Inman Connect.  

Russ, It was 15-20 minute sessions with roundtable discussions at the podium but opportunities for the audience to submit questions. There were some longer sessions for a deeper look into topics. At times there were 3 to 4 sessions going on at one time in various parts of the hotel so you have to pick and choose. There are networking areas and the trade show area.

I've never been even when it's been in a location I consider to be desirable.  Not my thing.

You certainly can learn a lot of new and interesting stuff.  We went to the NY one and it was interesting.  You may want to ask Debbie Reynolds who was recently there.

It's a wealth of knowledge with lots of opportunity for breakout sessions to learn what you want and avoid what you don't.  The most recent one was short lecture with plenty of other opportunities - networking, vendor education, etc.

I personally found 2 vendors that are great to work with from Inman, and of course, the best bonus was getting to hang out with Debbie Reynolds !

No clue... have never been... always seemed very expensive. I've heard mixed reviews.

I never thought it was worth the transportation much less the admission fee.

I don't usually attend these ... there is plenty of stuff available all over the internet and right here on AR!

When I visit the INMAN website, what they exhibit as their personality suggests their agenda or culture is not of interest to me.

There are many places to learn how to effectively grow ones Internet presence without sacrificing a portion of ones soul for commerce.

Be aware, there is opportunity to learn EVERYWHERE for those with eyes that see. Even if the only outcome is 'been there, done that' it is worth checking it off your list. 

My suggestion is attending events offered by honest to God Internet people. Before attending, invest sufficient intellectual effort to know a few of the questions you need answers for regarding your business. Knowing what you want your business to look like in three years will prove essential.

I would just do a subscription to their newsletter & see if you like the whole program. They turn me off as they are totally one sided. They think they 'are the leaders' but they are actually not in the business. You'd think that as they keep touting their own views & predictions.

Best was just a few months ago when Gary Keller lost his mind on stage with Inman. I'm sure it's on YouTube somewhere if you want a few laughs.

I don't go to Inman Connect and I also do not subscribe to their subscription service. What I really don't like about them is that they tease you with their content and then require you to pay for it to read it. That is fine if you are really adding value, however, I don't see their content as anything you can't find anywhere else for less or free. They charge way too much for their events. I am not interested. 

I have not gone.  When I've gone to other similar events in other industries, I've often found them to be a mix of good and bad, with some good networking opportunities as well as vendors.

I have not tried it, but something to research a little more.

I have not attended, but have seen some of the sessions on Inman. Someone I know just attended the last one in San Francisco and I am looking forward to picking their brain on what they learned.

Personally, my time is too valuable to spend vacation time at a seminar or convention.

Only you can decide that. I attend things many do not. I can usually extract good info or networking from any event I attend...but I go with a plan and focus on that plan.
