I was a nurse - patience (& formerly patients!) is something that I have been blessed with my entire life and believe me, I'm ever-so thankful for it. 

You're right though, Richie - when some lose their patience, the rest of us do suffer...and it's never pretty either!

I have a boatload of patience. I especially believe you have to be patient with older people, kids, animals & those who are learning something new. 

Some situations though, call for action over patience. I just had to ring the bell on a cash closing I have. Buyer's attorneys sat on signed contracts for nearly 3 weeks, hasn't updated anyone in the same. Everyone needs to close by EOM; my patience with people like this is nil. I got on the phone & let him know exactly what I need & that I need it done now. I sent a bunch of emails to everyone, in particular his client & the other attorney.  I got my closing scheduled for the 30th. So it just depends on the situation & who you are dealing with.

I am patient with clients and somewhat with other agents unless it appears the other agents simply are not up to doing their jobs correctly. Where you have to constantly stay on them to do the things that are required of them whether they are on the Buyers side or the Sellers. If they don't follow through it get annoying and I anticipate having to do their job as well as mine.

Patience--easily said but rarely practiced. My younger days I was a raging bull. Patience met having to wait for what I wanted! I've mellowed over the years and have been taught lesson both in and outside of my daily business affairs on the art of patience. I have a good friend who works in Bonzai Trees. The work is tedious, meticulous and the end result is years in the making. I try and keep the vison of his work in my mind as I go through the day.
