Maybe a finer "sort by topic".

   But as you  say, not likely.

Every post I read gives me some knowledge. 

At the bottom of each page, there are two columns of topics - you can click to read, based on your 'focus' topic at the time.

Trying to pinpoint blog topics that I do not want to see would be impossible, IMO.

I don't see this as a high priority item for ActiveRain.

I think the glitch list is full and that would trump the list of new features....

I think there are better more important things to focus on in the Rain. Even Amazon brings back a lot of non-related results on searches.  Just saying ... pie in the sky but it is always good to dream and dream big.

It's called "ignore".

I don't search or read by topic. I search and read by blogger. If there's a topic that then interests me I bookmark it for future reference.

I don't care either  way.

I'm not much into blocking people or ideas.  I just pass them by if they are offensive or uninteresting.

I personally like the variety. 

Not a fan of exlcusions myself - we have enough censorship on other Soc Med sites

I think they have bigger problems to solve before they would get to that one.

We essentially have that but not how you mean-however we have higher priority needs on AR.

We have the ability to only see certain topics.

I think that would help take care of some of the spam dating services to get rid of them but not sure if they have the staff do do that.
