If anyone from my family or friends, including client sphere needed a kidney and I could help, I wouldn't hesitate either. Love this story!

I have an unfair advantage though - I worked in the operating room for years, participating in heart and kidney transplants and know how meaningful it would be to a recipient.

I give blood on a regular basis. My next donation appointment is this coming Friday.

I have never had occaskion to donate to one of my clients...that I know of.

A kidney? Wow!

My gift to my clients is white glove, 5-star, world class service throughout the course of the transaction and after. I don't believe in lavish gifts to clients... 80% of my business is repeat and referral busines year in and out for decades.... my clients don't do this because of gifts but because I stay in touch and deliver world-class service and make myself available whenever they reach out.  I had a client call me today from Europe who will never again live in the USA asking for advice for his daughter and I was happy to put him in touch with the right people in California. That's the gift... his knowing I am always there to serve whether I get compensated or not. My gift is knowing that my clients look to me as their trusted advisor forever.

Of course, the gift of a kidney goes above and beyond... but I doubt the giver thought of it as a post closing gift. She sounds like someone who would have helped in any event.

the most memorable was a very special name plate for my desk that said

I guess I said it so many time, they wanted to make sure I remembered it like my name!

That's pretty impressive, the gift of life!

None of the gifts I have given to clients would even come close to giving the gift of life to someone. There is no better gift than that!! You also have a great week Tim.

The gift of referrals is the best gift from clients. Giving them my best is the best gift I can give them. I don't give body parts and save them for family.

Referrals and repeat business are great gifts from clients.

I have not made it a practice to give gifts to home buyers.

I forwarded a referral that I got for a buyer on one of my Mn border listings to an agent over there and she send me a box of Wicked Cupcakes in a Jar.  They were amazing!!

I gave my car to a client - wrote a post about it several years ago. 

I've done other things as well but they are to remain confidential. 

One of my Investor client write a letter to my company's Chief Executive  for   appreciation of my work. I wasn't knew about it and got email from 2 major department about it. I think this is best gift for me.

Now, that agent has really set a high bar for the rest of us. 

For buyers, I give a house warming party for 30 to 60 people,  they want to show offthere home and I pick up buyers and sellers.

That was really nice of her. 

When we purchased our home our agent gave us a really nice bread knife. It's the best knife we got. She is also a friend so I guess she has to pick and choose who she gives knives to, I would think.

All my given gifts are custom to the needs/wants of each client; all then were memorable as I demonstrated I listened.

Best gift received: my bride and my son. Other than books and music, I crave no material goods at this point in my life-I'm quite happy.

There have been many.
