It is rare that issue is raised--it would depend on other things beyond time.

90 days when I believe the home will sell in that time frame in any event.

currently I might try 90-120 days, as we are in a hot sellers market, but usually do a 1 year agreement

Depends on property, but 90 days is enough for some.

Typically 90-days but, I have done 30-days a few times of recent. With those, if they price it right, I have no problem at all selling it well within the 30-day timeframe!

Land 1 year, properties 2-3 months even if it sells in one week....

Nowadays 90 days. However, there was a particular listing where I felt like the owner was playing Name That Tune with me, real estate style. He wouldn't sign for more than 30 days. I thought about it at the table, looked at the stats and agreed. It went under contract on day 28 or 29.

Depends on many factors, but certainly no less than 1 month. I've seen some fine properties with DOM's of 300+ and counting!

It would depend upon the property, the pricing, the condition, the urgency to sell and the location.

I personally prefer 6 months will do shorter if the client wishes.

Depends on the listing. I prefer 6 months but will occasionally do 90 days.

Usually I look for 6 months and will take a listing for 90 days. Last week someone asked if I would take it for 30 dys. After some back and forth we met in the middle as it should sell quickly anyway

6 months min, push for one year but it depends on if the seller listens to me on pricing.

When I did listings it was six months but three in a few circumstances.

That depends on price range. In the $500K or less, it will go over the weekend. Over that, it will be more.
4,936,605
If it is price right I will do 60 days because I know it will close that fast.
3,988,007
90 days is my minimum as any less time than that would be a red flag to a possible problem or sincerity by the seller.

6 months. We just put one on the market that took over 3 months of preparation. Sure, it will probably sell quickly. I want to get the transaction closed before the listing expires.
2,178,553
My policy was 6 months with no penalty for early termination if they were unhappy with my service. Happy to say it never happened.

1 day plus administrative time to close. (financing)
Now we need to talk about the definition of 'LISTING.'
Often this can mean abiding by the rules of the local mls or overseeing brokerage. The folks on FSBO.com may have a different interpretation.

It depends on a lot of factors. I make that decision on a case by case basis.

I did a 30 day that brought me 25 % over any costs such as advertising. That was about 15 years ago
763,883
I start off asking for a year and if they want to make it shorter I just point out that they can cancel anytime and give it to them in writing. I used to fear doing this but not anymore. Most people are honorable and those that aren't won't be dictation my life.

6 months. Anything less isn't worth the investment of my time (although the last 3 homes we sold were sold in less than 24 hours).....
1,153,794
I used to limit myself to 30 day minimums but as I've gotten older 50 days is as low as I'll go.
5,049,033
Depends, but probably 90 days, even in our sellers market, to allow time to sell and to close.
660,906
It depends on the market, the urgency, the property etc. I have taken listings for a month, and the offer came within days, so the length of the listing practicaly didn't matter.
