I don't know - mine are winning so, no one is giving up!

I have been in this business for more than 20 years and have learned people start/ stop their homebuying search for a number of reasons as well as no reason at all.  When appropriate I ask questions.  I listen. I continue to learn.  Every day.

Some, but we didn't want them anyhow. 

In my state? I have no idea... I work a very small portion of my state! I've not experienced that many situations where my clients regularly were outbid... and those who were keep looking till they find something. A motivated, serious buyer won't stop looking. All that being said, NC is still one of the top 5 moved-to states... so I don't think buyers are giving up.

We don't have that problem very often. If I do have a buyer, I go out and find them a home.

No, they are learning to listen to their agents. 

Haven't noticed it in my area yet.

I usually interview my buyers and educate them about current housing market. If I feel that they are not ready I will tell them to wait until the market turns. 

  Tallahassee has houses for sale in all price ranges.  Send me your buyers!

If that's the case I'd be looking at their agent and not the Buyer.

Buyers are not giving up ... the must ante up to get their offer accepted. I am in California ... the Land of Oz. 

CA is out of control on taxes, affordability and quality of life. All signs of a reset of some sort to come

depends on motivation, but the short answer is yes in many cases.

no, it's always rare to have bidding wars in my market.  That has never ever been the norm here.

Not giving up, but investor types are making better offers after the first couple...
Otherwise, there is not usually a battle, at least in my areas of the state.

It does seem many are just priced out of the market right now, but to answer your question, no.

More are not in the home buying mode. Thousands of apartments are being built in our area.

Some buyers are so frustrated that they have given up. Others mistakenly have adopted the strategy of "waiting for prices to return to normal"...whatever that is supposed to mean.

Those who persevere can still become homeowners.

No. They just raise their bid next time.

Buyers are still competing and trying to outbid others in our community.  Lack of quality listings and a good economy keep them involved.

some of them have been advised by us to wait and not buy now.... they are not in a rush...and at some point this insanity will settle down...

I've had buyers get frustrated.  Those that put buying off too long suffer the consequences, prices are up.  With no slowdown in sight, better to buy now and have the appreciation working for you than against you. 

No!  Everyone want's to come to Delaware, to get out of NJ, MD, NY, DC.

No.  Inventory is flooding in now for the summer and prices are starting to drop.

Not at all, we have buyers comng here from other states. Most buyers have to lose a dream home before they are quicker and make their best offer first

They still BELIEVE they will find a house two levels above what they can afferd. Of course the lack of success is the fault of the professionals in the business. But that does not explain the two FSBOS they also bombed on.

2 bd condo ave location. Sold 190,000 over asked price.  4 br, 3 bath 3000 sf in better part of SJBA.  Paid 175.2K in the 1970s Zestimated 4M and sold for $18,000,000.00 cash.... 

High crime rate school rating 2/10. Selling $1.23M today and last sale was $175K in 2011. Buyers can try a few blocks away 29 offers and $4.1M Zukerberg's turf.....  

Their other choice is sleep in the cars or motel 6..... Bates Motel anyone?

Have not had many buyers this year, but have gotten my buyers into their homes.

Yes, real estate is a bit less expensive across the river in Indiana, so that does sometimes happen. 

In my location we have enough inventory in most of price ranges.
