I would like to believe the "forced" registrations would be not that much different given it is more about what we do with the data ... right? I'm still working on this.   

   This presents a money-making opportunity for website developers, tech people, attorneys, et al.  I am also seeing notices and warnings...  but strangely, nothing from my local or state Board.

Over the last week I would say. Some sites I no longer even bother with but they've sent them anyway.

We will see more changes driven by the need to safeguard private information and data.

Yes, there is some kind of deadline looming. As I understand it, if you don't do business with Europe, nor intend to, there is no real need to worry. But if you do, you need to update your privacy settings in some way.

I've been getting them since April, all citing GDPR.  Some making me re-sign up for newsletters and such.  I saw IDX forced registrations (or voluntary ones) as an issue too.  That's why I'm glad I don't have an IDX!

It is always something in this industry.  That is why I'm glad my managing broker stays on top of current issues that affect us as agents.

OH boy, is right, Corinne! And, yes, it's a daily reminder with all of the emails from other companies changing up their Privacy Policies.

I have noticed that. This sheds some light on why so many are arriving.

Now I know why some people in certain professions look forward to retirement. Retire from what? All the nonsense....then, onward to more meaningful pursuits...
