No. The rain is rear in my corner of SoCal, no one usually out, unless they have to. 

If I still hosted open houses it would depend on the severity of the rain.

The weather has never stopped me from having Open Houses except for hurricanes.

I find that the better the weather, the poorer the turn out.  Go for it and have a good place ready to go for all of the shoes! 

No, sometimes when it rains, I have my best turnout.. When the weather is nice, often people stay home to do their gardening, of plan BBQ's etc.  I would not cancel it..

Yes, if there is rain in the forecast, the open house will be changed.

Rain, sun or snow I have hosted in all season. Sometimes you find that one motivated buyer who buys the home and other days I catch up with my book or social media.

Never cancel on the forecast.

Hi Praful, I'm not a fan of Open Houses but do them on occasion, when I do, the show must go on regardless of the weather.

Unfortunately. we have in the past and had to clean-up the tracks left at the doorway. All visitors complied with the request to remove shoes. It all worked out fine.

Yes, you never know when that buyer is waiting for this time to tour your listing! You can always get a little work done if you have little attendance.

I rarely host them any more as the homes sell quickly when i list them without one. But when i do, sometimes rain attracts people as there is nothing else to do

I try not to honestly. Low turnout when there is a tornado or blizzard.

I don't do open houses, but if I did... once it's scheduled how could you cancel it last minute without looking "silly?"

Back in the day when I did open houses on a regular basis, rain or hail or 100-degree temps did not stop me.  Nothing stopped me.

I do not do opens, but do not believe in scheduling around weather for anything other than an exreme forecast.

As a Bay Area native, me thinks yes you do. If we called things for rain, we'd have a 6.5 month year up there.

I only hold an open house for listings when the seller believes they are beneficial.  I keep my commitment so won't cancel once they have been promised and promoted.  I wouldn't schedule one if rain was expected though.

Since I spend time and money marketing my open houses I always hold them no matter what the weather brings.

We advertise and promote our open houses for days - way too far ahead to depend n weather. Additionally, people who want to buy houses still look at houses when it's raining. You might eliminate the Looky Lous.

If the open house is already scheduled, yes I hold it... I also provide slip-on booties to protect the floors and rugs when weather is bad.  Seems now days the weather predictions are 50/50.... in being accurate.  

Of course the weather man is always correct.  45% chance of rain?  You are either in the 45% area or not... they are never wrong....

of course.... people don't melt.... they also don't do yard work or take walks in the rain....THEY LOOK AT HOMES....

Yes, rainy days are when people are bored. They have nothing to do but stay indoors. Potential buyers will drive around and be happy to drop into an open house. Plus, rainy days are a great way to see how the water drains away from a property.

It depends on a number of different factors. I have hosted some and canceled others depending on that scenario. 

  I rarely do Open Houses.   If I scheduled one, it must be held even if it rains.

Yes , people get cabin fever !
