No way!

I prefer ownership of both. Now, I do own property and lease out to others!

1. I've leased my car for at least 15 years. My husband and my accountant feel it makes more sense for me financially.

2. I do "lease" my phone. It worked out cheaper with T-Mobile than buying one and I get a new one each year without any additional charge. And I'm not stuck with an old phone. I'm always one generation behind in phones but last year got a good deal on a Samsung 7 Edge for $15 per month because the 8 had come out. In March I'll switch to the Samsung 8.

I didn't know YOU COULD lease your phone!
I have leased a vehicle in the past; I drove too many miles for it to make sense. I don't drive that many miles anymore, but I own my babytruck free and clear. ❤

Yes, and Yes. Apple actually offer it, you just change your phone as soon as they launch a new one.

Good morning Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®,CRS, I have been leasing cars for the past 16 years. I lease for 3 years and then get a new car with all new technology and zero miles. I would have to look into the phone lease to make a decision.

I have never leased my car and until just recently always owned my phone. Now, my new phone, if it ever arrives, will be on a lease. At the current rate, I will have to trade it in on delivery for updated technology!

Leased car once, did not like it; we are car owners. Might consider leasing a business phone given such frequent upgrades.

I haven't ever leased a car, so cannot provide any feedback on that. I might consider a lease on a cell phone, since we sort of do that now anyway (new phones are typically paid over a period of years, hidden in the bill). It would depend on the fine print.

Never leased a vehicle, but I'm open to it. Leased a cell phone once, only because I had to. It was when the small cell phones first came out in the early 90s and there was no option to buy with the model that I wanted.

I never had to lease anything otherwise.

I leased one car and will never do that again. I am now leasing phones and at the end of the lease I owe it but during the meantime I get a better rate plan from my carrier. It actually saves me money.

I'm in my first lease right now.  So far I'm way under the annual miles (the many benefits of most things being within 10 miles of me).  Leasing made financial sense even though I could afford to pay cash on the spot.  Let them take the "drive off" hit in value.  Plus if something new and "must have" comes out in three years, I can easily transfer over.  I do have to say though, this is a really weird feeling having a car payment for the first time ever!  Luckily, I have it on auto pilot now.  A bank account with enough to cover the full lease term in it and automatic payments each month.

Car leasing makes sense for the indivudual who says so. On leasing a phone, it remains a choice for now. However, too many releases of new technologies will make the consumer lean toward leasing more to keep current & satisfied

Having been an auto salesperson no.

Not leasing just requires more detail to write off the vehicle and one has to remember the value will be less because of the miles and wear and tear.
