I sold a new home in an over 55 community to a gentleman from NY who was 96. He was young at heart and could run circles around me. He got a mortgage and closed easily. He was a Yankees fan and we had a nice rivalry. He was good spirited for a Yankees fan as they are not always so nice to us Red Sox fans. He got me Yankees cupcakes and i swapped his Yankees flag for a Red Sox flag for the afternoon. 

I Closed one recently for a 90-year old and that woman is as sharp as a tack! I absolutely loved working with her!

I just helped a couple in their mid 80's purchase a condo Praful Thakkar but if I really think about it I bet I could come up with an even older buyer.

Oh wow. I think early 80s . . . she was my mom's age when she was alive . . . and she had a BF who was MY age (50s, then) LOLLLLLL

Did a 30 year fixed rate loan to a person that was 95 years old. Can't discriminate based on age!!

85 years old.... he was in good shape.... bought in an active adult community..... he was married to a 60 year old!!!  

I think about 75... it was the mother of one of my clients... I sold her house and she purhased a new build condo... I was just notified today that she wants me to list it now, as she is in failing health and has moved in with her daughter..

I had a lovely couple in their mid 50's buy a home from me. What was special about it was it was their 1st home purchase!

I have investors in their 70s still buying.

The age range in our niche is from their 60's to their 80's Praful Thakkar. 

I just closed a deal for an 86 year old. She paid cash. I'm currently selling the home she moved from. Sharp as a tack and pretty fit. 

I sold my hubby's townhouse when he was 69 but I don't ask clients their age so I really don't know if he was the oldest!

Not exactly sure but they were in their 80's.

That was 78 taking out a 30 year loan which was a hoot.

In their 70s

A mother and daughter team bouht a condo in a conversion building. Mom was 97 and daughter was 72. They got a 30 year mortgage! Had to take the documents to the unit for signature.

She was 84 and this was in the days where everyone represented the seller. She bought a low priced condo and it was her first home.

It was not my job to "help" her get a lower price or money for deficiencies...

I felt guilty and she is one of the reasons that I became an exclusive buyer broker.

We have sold homes to people in their 80s.

Several in their 80's.

Not sure of the exact age, they were in their 80s.

Probably in her 60's, but have had a few forestland owner clients who were in their late 80's and still getting around the woods well.

John was 82. He bought two from me 6 years ago. I knocked on his door say hi at his home last year.  He remembered me called last month.  He should be 88 by now.

I had some retirees buy into a 55+ development and believe they were over 80.   Lived there only 5 years and went to assisted living, and now both have passed.

My oldest mortgage borrower was 94. Did a 20 year mortgage. Had excellent credit. He is 97 today. Received a Christmas card from him. One of the "sharpest dressers" you will ever see. Drives a Mercedes SLK 2 door. 

70 something

My oldest client was 92, she asked me to sell her house because she was moving in an assisted living facility. In Scottsdale, this is not unusual, as many people move to Scottsdale to retire. So they buy when retired, so you have an older buyer clientele, and they sell when they can no longer live on their own or scaling down to a much smaller place.

Over 70. Actually I have right now two potential buyers( two different  families).
