I may be guity of that, Hannah! I open a post, read it, like it and then my phone rings or something takes me away from the site. I forget to go back and make a comment!

If I do it just simply means I like the post but, am at a loss for words

I've noticed many of my posts get a lot of views but no comments.

I only did that once.  Last week, I did hit the like button, which it the first thing I do prior to commenting, and when I started reading the post, it hit me that the post was pablum, so I moved on.  It would take me longer to figure out something nice to say...in that time, I could read several worthwhile posts. Sometimes others have said it all and I don't feel that I would anything to that particular post

I have one member who does that and I'm always happy she hits that button.... I know she was there and read the post.... she does not need to comment .... I appreciate her showing up....

Can’t say I have really noticed. I suspect some of it is due to time constraints, or getting interrupted.

Time is so limited or maybe it is they have nothing to add to the conversation. I have noticed comments are down 50% from last year.

Its too cold and fingers get too stiff to type.

The 'Like' feature should be eliminated. This is not Facebook.

Time has been a factor for me lately and sometimes I don't have time for comments although I read it.  I like to give them a nod if that's the case.  A girl has to sleep.  Only about 5 hours a night currently and I really can't give up any more for AR LOL

You can be a busy-body or a body that is busy...

Not sure! I get fewer comments than views by big numbers!

It takes time to read and leave the comment on the post as compared to just like it, I believe.

Well, views are more important, especially public views. I appreciate comments, but public usually do not leave any. 

  Time.  I got a lot of comments on my own featured blog post yesterday; I just haven't had time to reply to everyone.  I'll be over there in a little while.

Sorry, Hannah... but I have not noticed that. I'm getting plenty of comments and not a ton of likes.

Time constraints, but like to leave an occasional "like" on posts that are well done or for any other positive reason.

Yes, I have noticed that too Hannah. I will usually respond to comments made on my post and try to reach out to others but time gets away from me!

Got the point. Will do "like it" and the comments. 

Wow, that is new way. I like your post, I have been there. 

Oh my gosh, I do it all the time. Just like and move on.

Busy, may not have time to write? I’m not sure but I see it happening too. 

I have seen a bit of this too, and wondering if they just don't have anything to say on the post?

I too have noticed

I will occasionally do that if someone else has made the comment I am thinking or I get busy. 

I think the reasons are many.  

I haven't enabled many posts with comments lately.

I do not get it, if you are going to spend the time reading it, at least let the writer know you were there. A quick thank you takes 3 seconds
